Despite your insisting on the contrary, Shooter, I believe that event or not, fleet balance should always, always be an objective. It can never be perfect, but it should at the very least be attempted. I despise this logic of "I'm ganked, therefore I shall gank back", only bitterness and steamrolls can come out of it.
As leader of the MRG, I have to contend with CR fairly often, usually with good results. But I've been very displeased at the way you handled things ever since the Montmorency event started, and those two examples above seem to go my way. Being carried over occasionally is one thing, but going all the way and telling others "well screw this, let's not balance things and just throw everything we've got at each other, and too bad for you if you're on the side with lesser numbers" is not something I will condone.
