Captain's Log: 24 April 825 A.S.
J. Scott, Commanding Officer SS-Endeavor, Corvo Class Science Ship
It has been some time since I have published anything in my official log book. The Endeavor has been docked at Corinth Research Station in Omicron Kappa for many months while our scientists collaborated with Zoner scientists on recent discoveries.
Since our collaboration at this stage of the research has been concluded I set a course for the New York system to change out crew members and to give the crewmen that are staying aboard the ship some much needed R&R after such a long and arduous expedition into the Omicrons. While docked at Baltimore Shipyard having routine maintenance performed on the Endeavor I received word from my contacts in Gallia that a massive battle was about to take place in the Orkney system near Ft. Albi.
Since the Endeavor has a fully equipped medical unit and can function as a hospital ship if needed I made the decision to leave the New York system and set an immediate course for the Orkney system. When we arrived in the vicinity of Ft Albi there was debris from ships everywhere, and there was still heavy fighting in the area from Capital ships and fighters.
To prevent being attacked ourselves I sent multiple system wide broadcasts stating that we were a neutral vessel and there on a mission of mercy to rescue as many wounded as possible. Despite the chaos of the battle all sides of the fight gave us safe passage while we retrieved injured crewman from Gallic, Bretonian, and Council vessels.
All told we were able to transfer nearly 300 wounded crewmen aboard the Endeavor for triage and treatment. Many injuries were too severe even for our advanced medical facilities so we stabilized as many patients as possible before transporting them to a base of their Allied faction.
While I abhor war and it's effects I am extremely proud of my crew for flying into the midst of battle and saving as many lives as they did. We took no sides in this fight other than the side of humanity and my hope is that one day those involved in this terrible battle will come together in peace.
