Or do you think blocking needed improvements because you don't like the person who is making those improvements is mature and constructive behavior?
Is that behavior to be expected? It is to be expected here, yes, absolutely.
But the problem is with the people blocking the improvements, not with the people who try to do something constructive despite the fact that not everyone likes them.
There are very few people here who are universally liked, and they can't be expected to do everything on their own.

No, I think you're hurling poop at me because you think it pleases certain people (not all of which will really be pleased by the way you do it, imho), and because you've been led to believe a few things about me because of half-truths they tell you, which seem to match my behavior from your limited perspective.
People who you think are "victims" of my ego, but who have much bigger ego issues than me, who's egos and actions are much more destructive than mine.
But you're likely not aware of that, because although you see some of my actions, together with what some people chose to tell you about me, you haven't seen or heard about all of their actions. Partly because I don't go around talking about other people behind their backs the way others do, because I think that's crappy behavior, and because some of them are children, adolescents, or people with personality problems, and therefore I cut them some slack.
In addition to that, if I told you certain things about them here, in the same way you and them talk about me (and also threaten me) here, they'd have me permabanned within seconds.
The reason why I still do and bump things even though it will dent some egos, is because these things are actually necessary and will keep coming up, like they have. I'm not the only person who's been permabanned, thrown poop at, blocked, and vilified for stepping on certain very influential and very sensitive people's toes, in case you haven't noticed.
EDIT: And to be entirely honest, I think you may also be motivated by the fact that you're part of Laz's "tutorial team" and may feel some pain in your ego because the helpmenu thing you praised here is not only late, but also vastly inferior to the help system in terms of accessibility, practicality, helpfulness, and writing style. I re-iterate my offer to help you on this, but I'm not going to help make something existing worse just because someone wants to pin their name on it.
