Applicant Description
Biography:
Eloi Leclerc born the son of a shipwright and an engineer on the planet Orleans. Eloi from an early age was frequently exposed to the Gallic Royal Navy from the local planet-side Observatory viewing the various Gallic Royal Navy ships birthed from the Maintenon Shipyards in orbit. Along with his father working the shipyard, the boy became enamored with the Gallic Royal Navy and the idea of military service. Originally wanting to serve much like his parents as an engineer for the Navy he later found an unexpected joy in flying the old space shuttles during his teenage years, this convinced him to later sign up in the Gallic Royal Navy Flight school at the age of 18.
Soft spoken with a friendly attitude, Eloi does not express the usual bravado and overt eagerness common in young recruits. Nevertheless he shows a silent determination to prove himself during his service with a strong loyalty to the Crown.
Motivations: The tip of the spear, the vanguard, this is how I would describe la Marine Royale Gauloise. Of all the Gallic Royal Navy fleets the MRG has distinguished itself as being the best of the best, I would be immensely honored to be able to serve Le Royaume de Gallia under such a fleet.
Questionnaire
On a scale to ten, how would you rate your piloting ability?:
4. Passed flight school but extremely green in any sort of combat situations. Further instruction from veteran pilots is necessary.
What are your skills?:
As the son of a shipwright I am a skilled mechanic and am capable of maintenance and repair of spacecraft. Although such tasks are usually related to the ground crew, it is always useful out in the field or merely at base when an extra pair of hands are needed.
Describe the Kingdom's primary enemies:
-The Council; Despite their claims otherwise they are nothing more than Terrorists that seek to destabilize Gallia and undermine Gallic authority.
- The Maquis; Yet another group of terrorists, at least they have the decency to label themselves as such.
- Bretonia and Liberty; They oppose the crown's goal of bringing all of Sirius under the banner of Le Royaume de Gallia. Nevertheless they are worthy adversaries for Gallia.
-Brigands, Pirates, and Terrorists; It also is the goal of the Royal Navy to protect her citizens from all manor of unlawful activities and their practicers.
While on patrol, you encounter a small wing of Council fighters. They spot you, and begin threatening your life unless you disable your craft and surrender to their cause. You are outgunned and the nearest friendly patrol that would bring the tide to your favour is ten minutes away from you. What will you do?:
I am outnumbered and outgunned, engaging head on would accomplish nothing. Surrender is not an option. I feel my best option would be to try buy those 10 minuntes for reinforcements to arrive. Evasive maneuvers, harass or keep an eye on the Council forces and relay information. If the worse comes to be I understand it is my duty to scuttle the ship and prevent myself and my ship from falling into Council hands.
During one of your flights, you encounter an escape pod or a malfunctioning ship. The person inside is speaking in Sirian tongue and is asking for immediate help. If you wait any longer, the pilot will perish horribly. What will you do?:
It is the duty of any pilot to help another stranded spacer regardless of nationality, although one should always be wary of a potential ambush. What would happen to the indivual is up to my superiors when I have returned to base and submitted him for processing.
What is your S.K.Y.P.E. ID?:
MrNentendo, Same for discord.
Will you always remain rational and calm, follow orders, even if the situation could not be worse?:
I would like to imagine I am able to be calm under fire; however I would be a fool to believe myself to be able to when I have never been in such a situation first hand.
