Ending the Capship Issue(and more)

In the words of my friend who has only recently started playing Discovery:

"You don't have to follow an official faction's rules, but it's advised to unless you have a good roleplay reason for doing otherwise. You won't get sanctioned for not following them, but the faction has the right to punish you if you ignore them."

This is making mountains out of mole-hills. Nooblet, if you just linked your "RP" into a registration, I'm pretty sure they would register you right away. Not hard, right?

Neither is the whole registration thing. It's a lot more simple and painfree than people mark it out to be.

It's a point of principle. I have my RP. I should not have to register it or have it come up to someone else's RP meter on whether my RP is good enough.

Could I just point out here that if someone comes to me asking for help about getting a ship registered with the 101st etc I will actualy help them acheive this. I only think restrictions are good if they are in place to promote better roleplay. The more people write stories the better.

I have alluded in my earlier post to the fact that cap ships are fairly useless. I think that if most caps were roleplayed then we could return to having awesome ships rather than these lame peices of useless crap.

So come on people, just help the factions get things back to how they should be. When all the ship owners in disco roleplay we will be happy.
This is not about stiffling any indies, nor is it about uniformaty within roleplay. Your story could be totally out of left field for us, but if it isn't treading on anyone elses roleplay shoes or messing with already established thigns in game we will accept it.

One of the reasons we want to register warships is because what navy wouldn't know how many ships it has? What army wouldn't know how many men it had in the field? The idea that any armed force wouldn't know how many capitol ships it had in its possession or had made is utterly absurd. So if you support better RP then register your ship.

Can everyone stop doing the "big bad factions took away my toys" whinge for one moment and look at the bigger picture here. Its not about you, its about the server... Ok?

I like your attitude. I however, should not have to register. My RP is good enough. That's it. I shouldn't even have to write an RP story on the forums to fly a capship as this isn't even in the rules, but I have. No registration.

I'm not from the PVP server. Have never played there in my life. I have nothing past 2.5 times armour. I don't own a BS at the moment either. Any further clarification needed?

I DO NOT own a capship or a bomber, but I have had countless times when 3 OC BS are parked right outside Manhattan.

THE problem is the non-rp cap whoring new players WHO DONT HAVE ANY RESPECT FOR ANYONE ELSE's rp.

I'm just sick of it. I'd like to play! id like to RP. but I cant. Because there are INDIES out there who sit in MY ZOI, completely OORP with Guns that one shot kill me and there is nothing I can do about it.

I hate sanctioning people, and I usually have no legal standing to sanction them. Theres not a damn thing I can do about the Cap whore people. No. I'm not dumbing it down to ICAP or whatever else you want to call it. It is a PVP CAP WHORE atitude that has no place on a RP server.

Good. Then don't support faction restriction. If the problem with these players is consistent and it's the same player every time they will get punished, and if continues they will eventually get banned. Remember the screenshot button.

It sounded like you were accusing me of coming from the PVP server and pushing PVP policies.

No, seriously. WHAT? Am I suddenly not allowed to satirize the minority public opinion of myself? Would I honestly make such a big noise about it every time it comes up (before individuals such as yourself force me to get unpleasantly serious. I mean, really. I've probably gotten 300 posts out of this by now) if I weren't trying to satirize my image? That's something nobody would try and draw attention to unless they were very, very stupid or making a joke. This case is the latter. Get it straight before charging on here and making accusations of fascism.

IT'S EVEN SIMPLER THAN THAT.

For the Destroyer our friend here has literally all he has to do is post his ship's name. THAT constitutes a registration. RP is only required for Battleships and Dreadnoughts.

Satirize all you want. The sarcasm must have failed.
It sounded quite serious, and for it to sound serious imagine what people must think your attitude is.
It doesn't matter whether you care or not what people think either.
