Miss Hanamura,

Forgive the lack of response from McCool as of late. Generally regarding internal structure, we try to encourage people not to address individuals, as things become slightly less.. Productive that way. The man has been busy with other matters of the business as of late, and as such, I've sent information about your request, as well as the documentation which Finn found earlier regarding the previous contract we were with under your name, to a more.. Public internal systems channel in hopes that we won't suffer from failures in communication such as this.

Until then, lets keep the ball rolling, eh? My name is Rachel Snow.

Cassiopeia, Mercury and the Shinta. We haven't explicitly worked with matters like what you're requesting from us, although luckily Liam Shaw had started integration of our projects with exoskeletons of sorts a few years back. While nothing so far has been tailored explicitly towards humanistic looking machines, I suppose with some additional funding, we'll be able to allocate a team of engineers and sculptors into making the proper adjustments.

While at first I was a little surprised to read that you'd like QPU technology to be installed instead of the standardized remote control protocols and hardware, although I suppose if you're going for long range with both speed and efficiency, there are very few other options. While we have worked with a specialized QPU used in the designs for the Feanturi, by no means is it considered flashable in any sense. Our driver packages have never really been designed with the intention of it being open for development, given the nature of the majority of our other works. However. That being said, given that I'm sure you don't also want to pay for additional labor and time to remedy that and have a model created which is a little more accessible than our other works, there is a little workaround we could do instead. The QPU is very, very rarely the equipment piece which manages things such as the rules of operation. Yes, the processor is most certainly the brain, as it handles each operation as it comes in, generally personality parameters, functioning parameters, and the other relevant pieces of information is stored in some other piece of memory. Fine, you could use QCEEPROM these days, although we've always been pretty averse to putting important things in that format of hardware storage. It's too small. It may be fast, although we're not dealing with mere computer BIOS here. This is a little.. Bigger than that. I suggest an alternative, as I'll talk about shortly.

There are two options which we generally work with, when it comes to the data flow between the processing unit, and the operations memory. The first, making everything work under a secure neural network link. Instead of having one model designed separately with the intentions of it being handled by another human, design both pieces using the same pieces of technology. If you require things to be changed with the unit, instead of going into the unit manually, the information could be streamed into an overwrite buffer, which after various security checks, will simply override and replace the old functions with the new. The hardware will be designed so it can not be tampered with very easily from the outside, as all of the information it should be receiving, will be coming from an outside source. Obviously the model would handle it's AI operations locally, the external connection is simply for overrides and fail safe operations. Unhackable? No way in hell. Although it'd take a lot of research, and access to production notes in order to figure out everything you need to make it happen anyways. Security is another matter entirely.

If Dr. Regis wished to work on this type of design, and use a development kit to fit the Shinta model into your alternative method of usage, he'll need to focus more on the Neural Link more than hardware upgrades. Documentation can be provided explaining how the system reads incoming overwrite information. I'm sure he can figure out how to design a live mode into the body's operation.

The second approach, would be more work both for us, and Dr. Regis with your other type. Instead of streaming things from a remote source, hardware security aspects and input will be focused more around the processor itself. Call it a plug and play sort of thing. Upgrades are not done through using virtual drivers (Abstract software implementations with security layers), but would require new hardware drivers to be written with every new addition. Instead of simply being patched in, you'd have to flash the system every time you add an extra limb, or laser eyes, or whatever the hell people want these days. (A joke. I assure you.)

I'm not fond of the second approach, although if you'd like to hear more details on it over the first, do let me know and I'll elaborate to the best of my ability.

Either way. I have a reasonably good understanding of the project specs, and have a good idea as to how we would get started on such of a thing.
A Full Immersion Neural Link system is a little out of our area of work. We might be able to do something about it eventually, although if you're looking for the hardware handling that, I suggest that you look at alternative sources. If Dr. Regis does not do it himself, we can put a software team on developing a compatibility layer between our product, and the neural link ouput from whatever company or firm you choose.

If I missed anything, do let me know. I suppose the bottom line is.. Make sure your specs are as they should be, and we'll make it happen. If Dr. Regis wants to work on development after we're done with the two models, I suggest that he comes in to observe the progress every now and then, as it'd be easier to explain the 'why' and 'how' as it's being developed, instead of afterwards.

Though as a quick other note.. For clarification. I've looked through the sculptor details regarding how the three units should look when complete. Are the clothes intended to be fused into the body, or are you looking for a more dress-up type deal with proper synthetic-esq skin used as a bottom layer.
Strange question. Simply trying to clear up vague specs. You're the client here.

It's nice to meet you.
