On Xenos

Ahh, splendid. Just one item. Was somewhat apprehensive that I might wake to a new torrent of woe.

On the issue of cargo, nothing is sacred. The core objective of cargo interdiction is (in short) to cut off Liberty's access to all foreign goods in order to kickstart the local economy again to get everyone back to work. Similarly so with outbound freight, to prevent those same corporations from making a dollar off of pharms, gatelane or synth food monopolies or exported consumer goods manufactured on LPI prisoner/slave factories/plantations.

Some of our movement, including myself and usually if a person minds their p's and q's they'll find themselves running free, have qualms about downing vessels full of passengers. But we'll usually simply drop a beacon at the location that the transport was downed in order to signal to all that there's a lot of escape pods floating by a broken transport.

The deal with Universal is one very loosly built on some vague information that can be dug up on within the game. Mostly dealing with Universal pushing legislation that urges the government to take it easier on the Xeno movement, though as the same time hiring mercs posing as Xenos to harry the competition. We simply expanded upon that a bit in co-operation with some folks to have a few small events where they transfer supplies/funding in exchange for our continued grudging abstinence from nixing their transports. In other words they feed our poorly funded organization and they get to continue to grow unabated while larger organizations such as Interspace get their teeth knocked in.
