Day 50 - Location unknown III

"Apahanta, sun- and heat shields on maximum!"

This system was the exact opposite of the previous one. Everything was red, and it was obvious they were inside of some giant nebula. The temperature of the ship was increasing slowly. Nothing the ship was not able to handle, Ezrael thought. The main screen adjusted to the intense brightness of the system. There were planets and moons, a distant sun and many clouds. Clouds all over the place.

"Scan the system an all ranges. Any nomad activity?" The Captain was still at the railing, however turning over to Sherry who was already checking the sensor console behind their seats.

"Nothing, no nomads or anything else. We're alone here."

That was good news for once. "Disengage cloak, put energy to the shields and engines. I'd prefer to have some distance to the gate. Head for the planets of there," Ezrael said, pointing in the general direction of the sun. In the distance was a big planet that looked like it was not a barren world.

"Captain, there are faint signals. I don't know where they come from, but I am certain it was of human origin," Sherry said, sounding more enthusiastic than before. Ezrael turned around, looking at her for a moment, a smile forming on his lips.

"That either means they have Wild here or we found a trace. In any case, it is some sort of good news, I guess," the Captain mumbled, turning his face towards the main screen again. This system was interesting to look at. A bit like Cayman, but also not. "Orders remain the same, disengage cloak. We have only so much energy left. I'll prepare the Handsome Rover for a flight, maybe we find something interesting or useful."
