Station quarters deck-11 Freeport-5, Útgarðar (//Omega-41)
??????????????

Annabelle awoke, dressed with nothing but a an old loose long-sleeve shirt and long pants - a common outfit from her childhood years. Despite her awakening being calm, she reacted in shock of what had just occurred seconds ago. Sitting up faster than her eyes could react to, she started breathing heavily, waving her arms about and looking to make sense of her surroundings. After a few seconds of panicking, she immediately realized where she was - back home.
The room was silent, not even the sound of the station's shield generator could be her as Anna stood up, her head nearly hitting the ceiling in the process. Everything seemed so much smaller, perhaps that was only due to her age and size now, the more she grew up, the more she began to realize how much she really had. Everything remained as it was, her bed was still there with the blanket loosely tossed over the actual mattress. Her drawers, desk, even a small pillow she used to hug when she was afraid - or having nightmares.
Anna squatted down on her toes and opened the drawer, inside, her coloring book still remained. She opened the book, finding all the heart-filled drawings she had made, tears rolled down her eyes as she continued to take in every page. Anna put down the book on her bed as she stood up, shaking with anxiety as she took every bit of air.

Tears continued to roll down her face as she took in her surroundings, everything was as it was. There was even a picture of the whole family together from so long ago, she had changed, anyone looking at the picture wouldn't even get an idea that it was her now. "It was all dad's fault, he RUINED everything." She thought to herself, in reality she was just looking for a place to settle her anger. She knew what she had done in the past was wrong, or at least -some- part of it, but she never came to peace with the fact that she could have moved on rather than become what her father wanted.
Still, she couldn't find it in herself to be angry for some reason. Like a fire without oxygen, she was so overcome with sadness and loss that she couldn't spark the rise in blood pressure, or even think of any memory that would surge her temper. All she could do was make a blank, sad stare into the photo of what was - her family. Her mother still held a place in her heart, being the one who truly raised and loved Anna, seeing her face only brought more tears down Anna's cheeks.

She breathed in and turned to the window looking out at the neutron star, it was beautiful, but something odd brought out the beauty in the system even more. A soft bright red glow filled the black space like a sunset. It was quiet, peaceful, and hypnotized Anna instantly - just as she was as a child. The entire setting just drew her into a sort of "dead trance", staring out the window with an emotionless face covered in tears. The bright blue glow in her eyes and surrounding capillaries reflected in the window, nearly distracting her just as she began to zone out, only to have a voice interrupt. The voice struck suddenly, yet so familiar, surely it couldn't be...

Annabelle. Anna turned to see her mother in front of her, looked just as she had before the accident that took her life - she looked gorgeous. Anna looked up to her mother in that sense, and obviously held the love any child did for their mother. Overwhelmed with emotions she rushed over and hugged Mychaela, who of course - hugged as well. It was somewhat awkward; Anna was now taller and much larger than her mother, still, it didn't seem to shake Mychaela at all. I'm sorry, you don't know what's happened, I- Anna's voice was muffled from placing her head against Mychaela's longsleeve shirt. Overwhelmed with sadness love, and so many other non-hostile emotions. She was missing a portion of herself, the portion of herself that made her the monster she tried to lecture to her mother. Her mother interjected quickly. Anna our mistakes as a family aren't your fault, you were left with a life you sought to avoid. You grabbed it by the throat and made it your own, you're not what you think you are - you a matriarch more than anything. Slowly, Anna took her head off her mother's shoulder, trying to filter out the shock of sadness from seeing her mother again after so many years. It was a bit more re-assuring to hear those words come out of her mother's mouth. It seemed that even in the worst outcome, love never really left either of them.

It's over now, isn't it. Anna spoke with a stutter, she just felt so weak, so sad. No, there will be a time for you, and the people you've lost, but that time isn't now. Anna's face was drenched in confusion and sadness, going back would be too much. At least, now it felt like it was the wrong thing to do. Why? Anna spat out in response, she nearly mirrored an ordinary person in despair; pain; loss - all factors that would put fear into the thought of passing again.

Because you've a life to live, and more than that - a son to take care of. Isaak was so young, he didn't need a figure like Anna in his life - even if she was his mother. It would only work against his character as he grew up, nevermind the difficulty the family would have living with their reputation. Mychaela's facial expression didn't seem to concur with Anna's thoughts, but then again - Anna was didn't know what to do. I can't be what he needs me to be! Anna replied on impulse, shaking her head lightly with desperation for help in any form.

You will, I love you, and so does he. Now, it's time for the other half of you to take over again. The other half... she didn't mean -. What do you mean? Mama! The room began to fade, Mychaela stood isolated in the darkness for a second before fading away as well. Everything went cold, dark, and with it - an overwhelming rush of anger.
