I can't speak for the admins, but I am glad this did not get implemented because it failed at doing what it wanted to, which is make IDs simpler. You do not make things simpler by adding more text. Most people here are also used to the current ID system and a new one would take getting used to, which would go contrary to making it easier. At the end of the day, most IDs are fine, and those that are not can be amended when it is necessary for these single IDs. You don't need to redo everything for that.
