As time went on, conversation turned to less meaningful events. Cerys rambled about her job, Allan talked about his crew, both drank, spoke of home and were already on their third dad joke when they finally decided to go downstairs and join the other two. Toulouse was making a competition out of who ate shrimps faster while Lore just watched and laughed as time and again another tourist would take up the challenge and stand in awe when the Gallic counterpart proved to be unbeatable.

Allan was smiling - and now, at least, trying to see things through another angle.
