Life is full of surprise and Shorty was not really a wanted one for his biological parents. Eddy was really a small offspring and doctors didn't gave much change of survival and if he ever did might had needed special cares all his life. It's was enough for his mother to give him to adoption. Unfortunatly, he spent all his childhood into an orphanage on planet Los Angeles.
At the age of 13, Edwards started to turn bad. Bullyed due to his small size, he started hanging with a small gang of rebellous teenagers for some protection and soon got himself into troubles. Getting caught for stealing, assault and battery and refusal to comply to police officer, he was sentenced to go military college until his majority. Those events we're a blessing for this kid. He found the father figure and brotherhood he always wanted at the Houston military college. The commanding officer of the academy, the Commander A. Watson Sr, who was serving his last posting, took this troubled kid under his wing.
Stevenson, following his studying at the college, decided, under the advice of his mentor, to join the Liberty's navy. He soon find that that his bold attitude and discipline could help him out. He finally got accepted to West Point Academy. While not being the best pilot out there, he proven to have a natural leadership that. That skill was important for the progression of his career. Edwards graduated in late 824 and was sent to serve at Corpus Christi naval Base on planet Houston.
Few months ago, a new commanding officer showed up at Corpus; the son of his Mentor, the Captain Adam Watson Jr. who recently took hiatus from the 5th fleet to replace the commanding officer of the base. Stevenson served under Watson's orders as second in command in the testing of the newly commissionned Defiant Class Gunboat The Quebec. Alot of people saw this "privilege" as a conflict of interests. The week aboard the ship, serving with a crew that was issue from the main fleet had a deep impact.
Today, he decided to send his application to the 5th fleet and hope his skills will be enough to join the main fleet and fight for the republic.
