Funny thing too after reading some comments, been running this rig for at least 6 years and never had an issue with viruses/malware etc. But i know tons of people with windows 7-10 who do all the time. But this is mainly an old gaming machine so i do not download or browse all kinds of stuff with it to put it at risk.

This sort of thing does largely depend on the nature of user behaviour, services running and their own security, etc.

Unless this forum isn't safe?

This forum allows users to include resources from arbitrary external sources (e.g. images). I would not browse it (or anything else really) without an up-to-date browser but I wouldn't say it's likely to be less safe than most other gaming sites.
