Everyone has different opinions, and everyone enjoys other things in Discovery. If the AD| doesn't want to log for PvP, no matter what faction they represent or are requested to represent, then that is totally fine, because Discovery offers more than PvP. Yes, PvP is part of the roleplay environment, that doesn't change the competitive aspect and the type of gameplay about it at all, though.
