Seriously Lyth, you behave like you must be paid by Discord to advertise it recently. You are basically switching to typical PR aggresive communication strategy talks used when producer of some new product is trying to steal rival´s customers. Will we also get "every time you launch Skype, kitten dies in the world" talk?
Edit: And by the way, it´s interesting to see how voices of people who were forced to move to Discord because for example faction chat was switched but are not content with it are widely ignored and those who promote it pretend these complaints do not exist.
Not bashing Discord and disliking Skype makes me a corporate shill? Pardon? You're sounding a little bit hypocritical there.
But in all seriousness, my point is it's very frustrating especially as a leader to support two platforms of communication just because one or two people stubbornly refuse to even at least just run both platforms at once and keep to Skype purely. Or if a bunch of friends want to move to Discord and one person refuses to follow suit and gets in the way of that. I'm not really concerned about anyone else if they're not in chats I share with them and/or need to talk to them frequently.
Complaints with faction chats are an adapt or die sort of thing. You can complain all you like, but if the majority of people hop over and then faction leader makes Discord a requirement, then you have to adapt. It's not really much different to people who joined factions but wouldn't have Skype or would refuse to keep it running unless necessary or outright say it was a dumb requirement.
