Created as part of the Kishiro Technologies Artificial Intelligence Labs' project codenamed LOVELY SWEET DREAM, headed by Dr. Takeo Cohen, a Breto-Kusarian Quantum Computing and Neurology scientist, alongside Dr. Suguha Aramaki, who co-led the project, Mieko is one of 52 AIs that were created as part of the LSD project, which specialized in developing a compact, multirole, and in the words of Cohen's diary - "near-perfect" AI.

Built onto the equivalent of a Terran server CPU in terms of size, and utilizing a advanced, state of the art AI Neural Network generation technique made explicitly for LSD AIs, which, were given the QPU family designation K/WA-11, made specifically for the project. Of her family, only 20 are confirmed to have successfully passed Morality testing.

Mieko, as well as her sister, Pale Bride, were to be fine-tuned and developed to promote the new project to the public, however, before it could be done. Cohen had died in a accident in New Tokyo, leaving Mieko and Bride in his ship, unbeknownst to both Kishiro and the Kusari State Police, of which, Kishiro charged to locate, to no avail.

Recovered by Nodoka Hanamura by accident after the purchase of a shuttle after her departure from Kishiro, Mieko and her sister, Bride, awoke to find that they knew nothing other than their core identities and personalities, Hesitant to follow her into Exile, Mieko decided to follow her, somehow enamored by her resistance against Kusari's support of Gallia at the time.

After fleeing Kusari, Mieko has provided invaluable intelligence, research, tactical information and intrapersonal support to Nodoka alongside her more aggressive and profane sister, Pale Bride.

Upon obtaining bodies from Ingennus Research Group as a gift from Nodoka, Mieko proceeded to adopt a proper name for herself, Mieko Iekahara, whilst retaining the name Mieko as a nickname. Not long after this, she proceeded to grow enamored with the transhumanist group Auxesia, proceeding to work with them as a member of the Secretive Task Force Strigoi, and as a Affiliate.

After the departure of Nodoka and her sister from Freeport 11, Mieko would join the two of them in founding Ouroboros, serving as a personal advisor to Nodoka, and a secondary leader of the faction.

Following the incident at FOB Maehara, Mieko was dispatched out into the greater Sirius Sector to find allies to the cause that could aid and abet the movement in Sirius' galactic west. As the Seraphine went into the black and contact was lost, Mieko resorted to the fallback plan of entering cryostasis, primarily to wait for her comrades' return.

Upon awakening in 834 AS, Mieko found herself alone, loved ones gone, with no knowledge of their whereabouts. It wouldn't be until after a memorial to them on Gran Canaria, she would be confronted by a much older Marcus Conway, and have it revealed to her the fate of the OCS Abdicant Seraphine, and the aspiration of the fleet to return, possibly by the next year.

Under Hanamura's directive, and after discussion with the last person she would have had any ties to, William Foulke, her sister's former superior in Auxesia - she would find herself in the ranks of the Auxesian paramilitary, under Leviathan's wing. However, a reality that this Leviathan, and the one she knew were not the same, began to set in, and from that, a distrust of the Inner Phalanx began to form, especially amidst rumors of Nomad infestation in the upper echelons.

Seeking to find somewhere to belong, she transferred to Task Force Prometheus, and to this day, now having been demarcated as retired from the cause, she finds herself being an important liaison betwixt Ouroboros and the Prometheans.

Although kind and innocent on the outside, when it calls for such behavior, she is not afraid to bring to bear her intellect, skill, and even hidden aggression, onto those who threaten her, her beliefs, or her friends and family.
