Druid's Ridge

She thought to have a little time for a sleep, while she was sitting in that starflyer.
The way to Buffalo was said to be long - even loger, when avoiding the trade-lanes.

She had just closed her eyes, when she heard an old, well known sound: The Viking-Drums of battle...

The haar lifted and she could mention them, running down the fields, crossing the little river Avon, just approaching the circle of stones.

The stones were smoothed, at that time, later, some of them would have been fallen, but today, it was a majestic sight.

The men slowed down, and the jarl stepped up:
"Will Odin lead our way, Friar ?"
The woman closed her eyes and called her runes. The clangour of the swords, axes and shields were the only sound to hear.

She raised her head and answered:
"I saw him standing, applying his axe to the neck of the Surreymen. But be aware, Umbria might fall. - But you will never rule it !!"

With a snar he turned, while his men had heard her words.
Her only luck was, that it would have been his death, if he had touched her.
She was the voice of the gods and it brings calamity to those who touch a druid.
A voice crept into her mind, while the haar began to fall again.
"Every age has to have a place like this.
A center of energy and hope - an oracle - a place, where a man can find himself.
You are moving in a time, where only a few, maybe children of our gods, remember the necessity of a henge. Build it !"

Appalled, she moved up. She changed the direction of her flight. She would need lots of money.
And this was, what she had to do now....

Building "Druid's Ridge"
