(Screams can be heard in the background, followed by light arms fire, and then silence. Footsteps can be heard coming closer - and then yelling in a Corsair dialect. The footsteps begin to run off as to help a fellow raider. A few seconds later, a light wisper can be heard.)
I may not have much time left. These scourge of the sector have boarded my fathers transport, and are killing all the crew and passengers. I make this transmission because I have no place to go, and no family left to call my own.
My name is Fredrico Boscolini. For the past 24 years, I have lived on my fathers transport, helping him haul around uselesss rocks and crates of steel panels for a building comany in Cambridge. It has always been a boring job, often exciting, but never too dangeous until two days ago.
By the time we first picked up the Corsair raiding party on our scanners, it was already too late. They had called in their hunting pack, and we were forced to take refuge in a distant nebula in order to hide our power signatures from their detection systems. For the first 24 hours, they just waited for us to come out. The captain said we could wait them out, but he was wrong. The corsairs staterd an aggressive sweep of the nebula and within two hours, they had us located, and were closing in.
We had barely made it out of the nebula when a torpedo took out our comm system and engines. Then they boarded. They shot everything that moved, and any thing that wasnt bolted down they took back to their cargo vessel to sell to the Junkers. After they filled up an airlock with the dead bodies of my family, they jettisoned them out into space, and started filling it up again. I managed to hide in a cargo container just in time, they almost found me. thats where I am now.
(Voice starts to get emotional, and his voice quivers)
I remember yesterday I was talking to my brother, and he mentioned something about a very strong and powerful organization called the 101st, and they were a bunch of Outcasts who were sworn to destroy all Corsair, and all who allied with them. This is why I chose to contact you at this time. I need a new family, to seek revenge for the one i had, and so that I may enjoy life again.
(Takes a deep breath, and voice is now filled with determination at the tast at hand)
Now I must go. Hopefully I will be able to sneak to one of the escape pods, and set a drift course for Outcast space. Should I manage to survive on the little bit of air and water that the pods carry, I hope that you will accept me as a new brother in arms, or put me out of my misery.
(Cargo contained hood creaking open can be heard, along with sparking of damaged wires in the background)

1) - Why the 101st . . . Ive been rping indie chars only until now, and want to get a first hand view of what being in a faction is like, see if it's my cup of tea so to speak. Also to refine my in-game rp skills and knowledge - gonna be real green at first but I'm a quick study
