Graduating Second in Command training for a Defiant Gunboat. Background: Born on Manhattan, New York, with two brothers and a young sister. They all went through education together as there was only a couple of years different between them. James's younger brother and sister headed of to university to get diploma while he wanted to go for a career. The career that James chose was to join the Police Authority to serve and protect the civilians of Liberty. This was back before the corrupted government. As years went on, James went MIA from the Police Authority while he had lost his wife in a tragic indicent. Taking time away from work to focus on recooperating and becoming healthy again. It came to James that staying at home being depressed will not help him, he had to stay active to become better. After he relised, he got back in contact with the Chief of Police to see if he was eligable to return to his duty back as part time. This was due to his daughter Chloe. Chloe was young and being a single parent was difficult for James. This request was approved, but after a few patrols it was clear that James did not want to return to his duty as a officer. But fullfilling his training to become a second in command of a Defiant Gunboat, James finally graduated before leaving the Police Authority. He now is seeking something that will be better for him and his daughter. Upon flying to the border of Texas, he found peace onboard Freeport Two with his daughter Chloe, while in the bar one night having a quiet dinner, a member of Harmony approached James and started questioning James. The Harmony personnel wanted to find out more about James, this was due to James O'Brian was still wearing his officer uniform. James explained his situation near the bar while his daughter Chloe was sat at a small corner table eating her salad. The Harmony pilot invited James out on a couple of close by patrols to see what he was capable off and was later told to apply to join the Seperatists. James took up the opportunity and applied and later began to be known in the region. After showing such bravery, courage and ruthlessness. It became clear that James was in the right place at the right time and applied to join Harmony.
