I took a closer look, my bad, I did not pay attention to the thickness. How are you going to connect them? I would probably use leather strips and rivets. But that works only when you are using metal, might be a bit of an overkill in this case
Really curious to see how it all fits together.

Been trying to solve that problem myself. Most people use velcro on the back of the sintra and the other side attached/sewn into the suit. I may actually just end up using 3m adhesive spray and gluing the plates directly onto the fabric, simply to save money and time. The backplate is going to be the biggest problem, since the jetpack attaches to it and is -heavy-
