Background When most children grow up dreaming about becoming a star-pilot, they're envisioning themselves as an ace fighter pilot, or the captain of a colossal dreadnought. When James expressed his desire to become the galaxies deadliest gunboat commander, it caught his parents off guard.
Following his dream, he enrolled in the Navy, and immediately applied for gunboat command classes. Intelligent, and blessed with a mind for tactics in medium weight combat, James quickly earned a posting as the commander of a scout gunboat. Assigned to the more secure regions of Liberty due to his inexperience coupled with his talent, James quickly grew bored of his role. This was not the renowned life he had believed he would lead.
Turning to vices for excitement, James quickly garnered a reputation as a hedonist, and faced with an upcoming investigation about improper behavior for a naval officer, chose the easy way out. Lending his gunboats strength to the renegade Battlegroup Harmony, he quickly proved to command why it was better he was kept away from the limited population of the separatists.
