While the population reports differ quite a lot the most realistic ones speak of less than a million, minus the Bretonian colonists and those who leave the planet if things go south. Add to that the rather low industrial activity and we do not have to expect beeing drawn into a lenghty war in the population centers. However we need to expect a few groups to start a guerilla war against us should we not be able to come to an agreement with the Zoners. If we do I suppose most corsairs will rather leave for home than die on a remote planet.

Personally, I'm not sure how to feel about this whole matter. I do certainly support an expansion into the Omegas, these systems have been a hive of undesirables for too long but the target worries me. I had my fair share of dealing with Zoners and while they are neither very cooperative, rather extremely stubborn and they lack any sense for political situations, I do not conisder them a threat to the Kingdom. I will ask you to try minimize civilian casualties even if they decide to fight us. It is one thing burning a city full of Crosairs, they would do the same to us if they could but another if we reduce a zoner colony to ashes. Should we be forced to invade a planetary bombardment will only get my OK for Corsair targets. Should this become a problem we can still discuss it but do not act on this matter without checking back.
