From one of the threads I noticed on ranking ships, few people play cruisers. I enjoy playing them but their biggest disadvantage I feel is the role it plays doesn’t really make it as viable as it should be. It seems the main focus is for it to be a sieger against caps but the range of its siege weapons is somewhat lacking. The 500m distance from it firing and it being within range of being fired upon in my opinion is pretty pathetic of a margin.
I would like to see that increased a minimum of an additional 500m or possibly even 1000m. Once a cap gets within range it’s turrets and even Mortars don’t seem to have a big enough impact to allow it to survive a close combat encounter. Which it shouldn’t since it’s not designed to go close quarters with any other caps anyways. You could always increase its booster thrust a bit more as another alternative but I don’t think that would fix much.
