The Nomad Gunship could use a buff. It's been nerfed from a gunship into an SHF, with SHF-like stats, but is still gunship-sized.

At first glance, its 8 guns might seem like a lot of firepower, but SHF's typically have forward-firing turrets that provide 8 forward-firing guns already. It could use a 9th gun; a ship its size needs superior firepower.

Additionally, it currently has the 39130/2350 Power core that is typical of SHFs. As such a large ship, it should have the 47000/2350 power core of a heavy bomber, the heaviest of which are still smaller than the Nomad Gunship. Additionally, it should be given an additional shared disruptor/fightertorp slot, freeing up its other slot to be used as a bomber torpedo.

Its shield should be upgraded to a Transport Shield to accommodate for its size. It would only utilize the small one, as the power drain of the larger shields would take quite a toll on its power core.

Additionally, as a "Gunship", it would be neat to see it utilize nomad fighter turrets, which could be created for this ship. It could have all of its guns stripped away, and replaced with a set of 7 or 8 turrets, and be given the ability to turretsteer.

I came to the conclusion that it needed a buff, when a yesterday a K'hara player flying one came across my wounded, low-on-regen mining Rhino, with 4 mining lasers equipped, and still almost died to me.
