In a perfect world, I'd have to agree with Inferno here. It is a completely reasonable change to the mechanics to let someone who has logged out or crashed to log back into the ship, and only the ship, that they were F1-ing on. In 90 seconds, they've likely not changed any circumstances they were trying to avoid, so the penalty for F1-ing from lost-cause encounters still stands, and this is gentler to any loss of connection that is not malicious, which I think we should all consider ideal. Heck, its even gentler to the loss of connection in with malicious intent, if the person trying to avoid a death by ionstorm does manage to log back in after being immobile before the guns of a hostile ship...but are we nearly so upset with someone breaking the rules and immediately trying to un-break them?
Now, It may well not be worth the effort it would take to set up such a system. I'm not sure its possible, as it seems fairly easy to say "upon logout, ship does not dissapear for X interval" But likely much harder to check the server logs against the account holder, and make allow only one character to log in during that span. And doing that may cause undue strain on a server.
