The First Day for 970261

1st time posting, if in the wrong place, i'm srry. Same goes for using and/or describing events/people incorrectly. Also, parts of this story may be adjusted to suit my character.

Initializing Voice Recording...

So, uhh..."first" entry, I guess...dunno what number this is, don't remember things too well after a ship found me in the Badlands, my ship drifting along and me unconscious. So I wake up and freak out a little when they ask me for my name, and all I can think up for a name was the number "970261".

And to top it off, my old ship's been totaled and they issued a basic ship with the basic armaments.

Ugh...

Better than nothing, I guess. So I'm cruising around when I hear a distress transmission from this guy in a transport near West Point. Went over and lo and behold, a transport's dead in the water-err...space.

I nearly hail them when i hear, or barely hear, from them that they're comm system's down.

Then I see this flashing light in the cockpit, which was morse code. When i go over and decipher it using my handy little morse code decipher book...speaking of which, where did i have it?

...eh, whatever.

So i decipher it, and then they seem to have a problem, someone sabotaged their engines and they need the LP (Liberty Police) to come and board them. I immediately hailed the open comm for any LP ships to come and board him and this gunboat appears offering to help.

Cool I thought, i'm doing pretty well on my "first" day...until this Armored Transport comes and starts attacking the transport.

Of all things an ARMORED TRANSPORT?! C'MON!

So anyways, i didn't want to end my first day with a death on my conscious, so i asked WP (West Point) for permission to attack the AT (Armored Transport). After it ran away from the attack of me, the Transport, and the LP gunboat, the LP gunboat docks and boards the Transport.

What am I doing? Kicking back and rela-err..."patrolling" the immediate area while my taxes (if any) did work.

So I'm drinkin-..."Patrolling" the area when i hear gunshots from the open comm between the gunboat and transport.

Seems like a terrorist group took over parts of the transport, but hey, i'm a civvie, what can i do? Board and get killed? Or let the pros handle it?

I mean, i'm worried 'bout the passengers and the pilots, but while i'm pondering what to do, the pros take out most of the terrorists on board.

Or at least i thought that way, 'till they threatened to jettison passengers unless the LSF backed off.

My first day and i'm part (no matter how small) of a hostage situation...

And they actually jettisoned the passengers! I mean c'mon! You KNOW you lost the initiative! Surrender and have a chance at life!

Luckily a Prison Boat came along and "tractor-ed" in the passengers as they came out.

And...that's about it. the LSF took out the terrorists (even though more passengers got jettisoned and tractor-ed by the Prison Ship), towed the transport to WP, all the meanwhile the Prison Ship went to the passenger's destinations.

Me? I was just awed at how everything happened so fast and smoothly...and of course thinking about my hectic first day...

Now, where's that magazine...oh yeah, can't forget the drinks, and water...

(Sound of a carbonated drink being opened.)

Uh-oh...why don't these thing warn me-! Oh, says right here, "Warning: Contents are liquid and turn into bubbles in space. Please drink responsibly and within an area with partial, or full gravity."

...Gotta read the fine prints, i guess...

And who am i narrating this to? I mean, it's fun and all, but-hey! This is still recording?! I thought i-

(Sound of pages within a book of some kind being ruffled through.)

...Oh...I'm not suppose to say "ending the entry", i'm suppose to say "signing off"...
