Application: Dark_Knight How did you find the faction? What caught your interest?
The LSF-Doomsday, on my character Sun Koken of the Bodhi I followed the Captain of the Doomsday, a IC friend of Suns to Omicron Delta. I had been there before, but this I was introduced to Vagrant.Daeira upon seeing how much detail was put into the language and behaviour of a alien species (That admittedly at the time I did not know much about OoRP) I went forth and decided to make Sun fearless and talk to Vagrant.Daeira. My character Sun is a devout Buddhist and a pacifist, so I was suprised that Buddhism seemed to gel well with the Vagrant's philosophy and behaviour.
It was a philosophical conversation about existentialism, Buddhism and what it means to be a self in the grand cosmos of the Universe. That was fascinating, that was rewarded and that was one of the best RP I have experienced in a long time especially for someone who joined two months ago now. I am a new player, yet I was treated with respect and not waved off just for being curious ICly
Have you read the faction writeups? Do you know what a Nomad is and do you have experience roleplaying them?
I have read the information here and on the old Wikipedia. I completely understand the differences now between the K'hara, base Nomads and indeed the Vagrants. At first I will be honest, I did not know the different but upon researching a little more I completely got them from my past experience RPing aliens in other RP settings.
How long have you been playing Freelancer? Do you have experience leading factions, etc.? Have you ever been sanctioned and if yes, why?
2 months. I did briefly play years ago but only for a week, I do have experience leading factions but not in Freelancer and I have never been sanctioned. My characters are Sun Koken of the [ND]TV-Bodhi and Doktor Valentina Margarethe Angelika Katrin Depperschmidt III of the UN|Hammonia
As a Nomad, you are the antagonist. Are you aware that you are to play this role and that others will treat you as such? Do you have a problem with that?
No, I enjoy the antagonist role
Do you have roleplay experience outside of Discovery? Did you ever play on other Freelancer servers and if yes, which?
Yes, I have over 10 years of roleplay experience outside of Discovery. Mostly I lead Vortigaunts on a HL2RP server that shall remain nameless as I don't want to break any rule of advertising and I found that the hivemind nature of Nomads plays into my experience as a Vortigaunt leader in HL2RP. I also have experience with Stalker RP, Fallout RP and some Discord RP I do on the side with some friends. I enjoy RP, I immensely enjoy rping characters that are out there from myself. OOC and IC are always separate for me, I will RP with people regardless of how new or how old they are. I despise elitism and think it actually reduces RP in the long run. I enjoy my time in creating characters that are interesting to RP with but also interesting for others to RP to. I find that a general openness to take risks, dive in and rejoice in RP is why I continue to this day to RP.
We have a clear code of conduct. We expect decent behaviour from our members on the forums as well in the game. Do you believe you will be able to do that? Do you acknowledge that your membership can be terminated if you violate the faction code of conduct or the server rules?
I will follow all rules to the letter and I accept any termination if it comes to it.
