I have just now taken up my new posting with the Stirling Battlegroup. I must say, while the group will do its duty, it is not quite as well prepared as I would have hoped.
One particular issue I found, was that the HMS Mansfield, a ship I previously sent from New London due to poor battle readiness, has proven unserviceable. It seems, upon sending it down to the planet surface, the ship has become unable to break orbit any longer. It is with this, I am left with no choice but to withdraw the crew and command staff, and reassign them elsewhere. I do believe the gunboat can "hover" several meters off the ground, so it should make a serviceable ground superiority vehicle. The land forces are thrilled I'm told.
That brings me to my requisition request. While I'm sure the New London front is paramount, considering the fine job we are performing in drawing away Corsairs from New London, I would appreciate if you could spare a some heavy hardware for us. At the minimum, I would like to make use of Albright's Mansfield crew now they are free, If they spend any longer on shore leave the local vodka will kill them.
As we are unable to make new ships, I am forced to request a Liberty ship it seems. Considering the similarities in Forward gun usage, I believe the Archer class Liberty Siege cruiser would fit nicely.
Albright is not of suitable rank, but he will make a fine officer. I will therefore recommend Captain Mark Anston for the captaincy. Please find the request form below.
