Don't be saddened. Sure every can do mistakes, even those years in here can easily do and have an overlook in uncertain situations. But don't lose your hope and will either. Perhaps yes - you better to change areas where you hang around in your character, be less straight-forward and don't rush things, take time and careful thought - they can set things right and pave a road for the character. Frustration is a normal state for nomad character on it's path, get used to it, that is the choice you made.
