History

The Bundschuh was founded several decades before the actual revolution of 700AS, that ended the 80-years war, founded by young visionaries in a basement of the first Mitte-Stadt University on Planet New Berlin, who could no longer tolerate the circumstances the people of Rheinland lived in. Their Aim was nothing less but changing the society that made the rich richer and the poor even poorer - the society that dictated your status of a rich and educated aristocrat or a poor and exploited worker from the moment of your birth.
It may be a common fact though, that the only thing intellectuals without influence do is discussing situations rather than change them with rough deeds. But over the decades, the Bundschuh turned out to become a well organized socialistic conspiracy that gained more and more influence with propaganda that was passed under the hands of laborours. It was financed by those who had left the halls of the universities behind and gathered wealth to fund the cause they had sworn to assemble for the benefit of Rheinland's people and its society.

And their day came.

On the von Rohe day in 700AS, they initialized their final strike when raging workers, carrying weapons and thoughts of the Bundschuh-Movement, revolted in Dresden as they could no longer maintain the war-machine that was fueled with the laborers blood - the blood of those who worked for more than 16 hours per day with no payment for months, to keep the burned out economy going that backed up the useless efforts in Sigma 13 which kept taking the sons and daughters of Rheinland away from their parents for more than 70 years.
Many People claim this day to be the Birthday of the Volksfront (People's Front) even though those people who stood up for their right weren't centrally organized and only sticked together for three weeks until the revolution moved from the mining grounds of Dresden into the Reichstag of Mitte-Stadt.
What fallowed were 15 years of a peoples coalition ruling Rheinland, that consisted of the aristocratic, the conservative, the liberal democratic and the Bundschuh Party. But this short period of time wasn't used to solidate the peoples coalition and to finally establish frequent election terms. Instead, those who fought for justice had to witness their young democracy becoming corrupted, as the thirst for more power of the leading party members made them obey the will of the aristocratic upper class that had the most influence in the economy and military forces. As the Bundschuh was the only party that heavily protested against this open corruption, it was prohibited by the parliament they helped to get the power over the house of Rheinland. Those parties who sticked with the power became nothing but pets of the companies they were supposed to control with the parliament's chancellor being the shameful mascot of this exclusive puppet collection.

Shortly after the Bundschuh got forced into the underground again, the Volksfront was founded. Before, the Bundschuh tried on legal ways to become an acknowledged party again. But as they failed every time, the party members realized that they had to fight for their and the people's rights by using force. In the beginning it were normal people who set up a front in the underground against the government. Striking against political institutions and military installations with hit and run tactics. Backed up by the old party members who still stayed in line and supported them with propaganda or financial support. But over the time, they lost more and more influence on the common people of Rheinland who got fed with opinions delivered by the controlled media. By the fallowing years, the Bundschuh movement literally lost more ground as the volksfront started to operate in space as it was the best way for them to deliver the highest damage to the companies with the smallest investment of force.

Things got even worse since the end of the nomad war. The fear of the people was systematically exploited by the government to raise the competences of Rheinland's authorities and to force more control by observation of the people's private sphere, thus a higher level of oppression on them. The government changed from a autocratic regime into a fascistic dictatorship with a cardamine addicted chancellor who claimed to be on a level with god by installing his own church dedicated to him self and trapped the minds of the simple people in nationalistic ritualism.
The only ones who we still have a little influence on are the college students of Rheinland's universities. The only kind of people that seeks to have an opinion of their own.

Objectives

The Bundschuh once tried to become an acknowledged party again which hasn't to force the socialistic idea on the people but rather convinced them during free and open election terms. But as we didn't succeed on a peaceful way and things even turned out to become worse after the nomad-war, the armed wing of the Bundschuh, the Volksfront, gained more importance as the party seeks for nothing less but overthrowing the government - again.

To reach this goal, we fallow certain actives to grow, gain more influence and disrupt the economy of the fascist state of Rheinland. We grow by always presenting our selfs in a helpful and idealistic way to our most important allies, the Farmer's Rights Movement and the Red Hessians which are our main source of new recruits.
We act on a planetary level by striking against "churches" and government installations. During that process and because of several razzias, we had to suffer high losses as our member of the Bundschuh were captured and brought to the Vierlande prison. The rumors are right, no one ever managed to flee from that blasted hole. Thats why we coordinate attacks on the prison transports to get a hand on our precious members again - sometimes even aided by our allies who seek to free their own people as well.
As we are not depending on piracy due to our funders in New Berlin's high society and the financial support of Interspace Commerce (that allows us to supply our selfs at Kreutzberg and Yanagi) we can concentrate on disrupting the economy of Rheinland that only makes the rich ones even richer but doesn't help the poor ones in any way! To cut down reinforcing resources for Rheinland's armament industry we lock down imports of niobium and exports of the famous blood-diamonds of Dresden and Omega-11. As most of the Volksfront members, in contrast to the Bundschuh party basis, were workers at some point, we understand the position of those traders who were hired by the big companies to ship those goods for nothing but a pittance. Thats why we try to get into the minds of those people every time we encounter them, to give them the chance to freely hand the cargo over or sell it at the yanagi depot. If negotiations fail however, we will make sure that the goods that are meant to support the fascistic regime of Rheinland don't stay in the cargo hold of those greedy and inhuman people among the traders.
We are not seeking an open conflict with the Police or Military Forces, but we won't run from them either.

//The longer we RPed Bundschuh and the more background-information we gathered about this faction, we realized that it is really, really hardcore:
Bundschuh (thus Volksfront) are an unlawful faction that doesn't pirate on the one side and is bound to a strict, serious and reasonable political RP on the other. Player-faction wise, its confronted with the most skilled faction the server has to offer (RM) and BH cap-spam that roles out of the garage every time a trader that faced us docks. So we will have a rather hard time recruiting members since they should be dedicated Role Players AND decent PvP fighters. That brings us into the position of always staying a small faction thats forced to say rather fast "good-by" to its members that mess things up by abusing the PvP tendency the faction has to offer. Basically, we want this faction to be a challenge for experienced Discovery-Members.
To stay in contact, we use our sweet lil skype-chartroom and several (closed) sub forums in the RHA forum.

//Objectives

Our first main objective is to get RM more active with Prison-Break events and participating in the Revolution-Event. Our second is to disrupt the diamond-run in a proportional way:
We will try to RP with the trader, telling him that he supports fascism, demand his cargo and...
- if he doesn't answer at all or ooRP and only attempts to flee, we will destroy him with no mercy.
- If he doesn't support our cause inRP, we will force him to drop his cargo and destroy it afterwards and spare his life.
- If he responds in a civil way, we will offer him to sell his niobium at yanagi or to ship back his diamonds to new-berlin and purchase some new ones on keutzberg.
- If a trader gives us some serious RP that makes us feel really sorry in a way we will even compensate for his cargo after destroying it!;)
We also noticed in our time with the [BU] that generic propaganda in NB system chat is interesting at first but tends to annoy people after some time. Thats why we will try to use this RP in a smaller dose this time and rather address certain people than a whole system over and over again.

//Faction Rules

RolePlay
- In Character chat must be used at ALL times, in any Chat and with any Person.
- Our Characters are on a first-name basis with each other.
- Though, Subordination has to be maintained at all times. Everybody has the right to object, but is obligated to execute the orders when overruled.
- RP MUST be performed before unlocking weapons - except in cases of ambush/self defense.
- Hardware (Ships, Guns, Etc.) that ain't listed on our faction status page, isn't allowed to be used by any Member of the Volksfront. No exceptions will be made.
- Heavy and Very Heavy Fighters are obligated to mount at least 2 Lugers.
- We are no conventional pirates: VF members must never demand credits. Demanded cargo must be destroyed

Communication
- All members are obligated to use a skype account to be able to participate in spontaneous operations.
- All members are obligated to use a forum account on the VF forums.
- All members are obligated to report in VF message Dumps on the Disco Forums if ordered.

Recruitment
- Discovery Members are free to apply but generally, approval is rare.
- Full funding is guaranteed.

Pro- & Demotion
- Disobaying the listed rules can result in demotion or ban from the faction.
- Each month of inactivity will cost one rank until you are out.
- Promotion will be handed out to those who RP flawless and constantly but also manage not to die like flies in the fire. Constant ingame-activity and/or participation oogame is required.

Zone of Influence

- Frankfurt: We maintain our primary base here (Bruchsal - hard to miss, you will see it from the lanes).
- New Berlin: The capital system of Rheinland, this is a major trade artery and from here we can strike down the servants of our foes. The Keutzberg-Depot is used for supplying the Volksfront
- Hamburg: Vierlande Prison is in this system, and we will sometimes need to liberate a prisoner before they are condemned to its darkness.
- Dresden: Our primary allies, the Red Hessians, make their lair here. We will stop by to coordinate, gather supplies, or to train.
- Sigma-13: Another major trade artery, we may lurk here and disrupt the vile diamond trade away from the Rheinland Military protection. Still we have to try to stay out of trouble with the GMG. Yanagi is one of our main sources for supplies.
- Munich: A developing system that should be watched carefully. It is also a likely point that the Corsairs may use to invade should they try again.
- Luneburg: The Bundschuh guard system. All entry into this system is prohibited unless a member of the Bundschuh, the Red Hessians, or the LWB. Unioners are allowed if escorted. Destroy any invaders.
- Omega-54: The Red Hessian guard system. With permission, we may be seen in this system to train with the Red Hessians, or on occasion to acquire resources.

Ships:

The Borderworlds ship line is regarded as our traditional ship line. Many of those ships are sold on our bases and have proven to be very reliable combat vessels.*

The Hessian ship line, provided by our main allies, has proven to be a modern and efficient alternative to the Borderworlds ship line. Many of us proudly use these ships as they are the flying evidence of efficient production processes on a socialistic basis.

Weapons:

- Lugers have proven to be among the most efficient weapons of Sirius. Therefore, every Heavy and Very Heavy Fighter is obligated to mount at least two of these precious weapons of ours.
- Natterturns are the products of our valuable allies, the Red Hessians. They are very popular and to be found on our Fighters quite often.
- Destroyers are the products of our cooperators, the LWB. We trade them for Lugers with their members. The evidence of this trade must be posted on our message dumps.
- Codenames are only allowed to be mounted on bombers.
- Debilitators have proven to be the most efficient shield busters available on our local black market. One will rarely find a fighter of ours that doesn't have one mounted.


Ammo-using Weapons / Miscellaneous Hardware:

We use all hardware and ammo-using weapons the black market has to offer. The Mini Razor is often shipped by our Red Hessian allies from Casablanca base. All missiles are approved, as are all mines and cruise disrupter. Train CDs and Nuclear Mines are strongly suggested, the latter available from our Hessian allies. Mk VIII Fighter Armor is available from our base in Luneburg, and suggested to all pilots.
The Supernova Antimatter Cannon will be handed out by our armory. From time to time an emissary will be sent to Dublin to acquire them.

Where are the 500 mil?
Well, since we posted our first proposal 5 months ago, we don't need to take care about that. But if admins ask us to, we will, of course, submit the cash to avoid any inconvenience.
