And if you do this "drop trading", make sure you have your radar set to "loot", and verify the stuff you dropped is indeed sitting in space, before logging out. It can take several seconds between jettison and the things exiting your ship's hold. The number of people who have logged out too soon and lost expensive stuff....
The other problem with drop trading is F1'ing in space takes 60 seconds, unless you dock with a base. Both introduce a time delay and inherent risks.
