The other problem with drop trading is F1'ing in space takes 60 seconds, unless you dock with a base. Both introduce a time delay and inherent risks.
...Unless you use different accounts. Find someplace quiet where both characters are... (next to a base that no one uses, for example)... drop the stuff, F1, select a different account, and go right back in. You'll be able to see yourself sitting there:laugh:
