The End of an Era

Red is on Gran Canaria with a several zoners freedom fighters. He plans to attack a remote station, not a value target, but we can’t do it. He don’t have enough manpower to mount a major attack on a value target. The war is lost! Why?! Because nobody cares and wants a Zoner victory. Even many so call zoners don’t care. They are happy on their little stronghold with their pockets full, while some are quiet as mice, others pretend that are important but they can’t even make a step without asking permission to others and then … then there are the other zoners … the ones that suffer, the ones that don’t have a voice … the ones that pay with tears and blood!! Many of these are now on Pygar … the biggest dumpster on Sirius ... and have to make it something that they can call home! Home?! How that can be home?! Pathetic idea of that can be some kind of home! Not even what Matilda is building will ever be home!! The Zoner dream ended with the bret invasion of Gran Canaria … the zoners are now dead! Why?! What zoners did that deserve it? Nothing! They were friends of everyone ... maybe that is why zoners are so bad treated on Sirius! What are they now? From religious freaks, to corporate pigs, to arrogant intellectuals, to back side lickers, to mice that live their lives quiet ignoring what happens, to … lost people! So lost that argue for everything … the best hole … the hole with less bugs … so many pathetic reasons that … that are so pathetic that are not even real reasons!

Even so Red in on Gran Canaria … demoralized as well his group! Not long ago was promised an army , and now … not even 150 are ready to attack a outpost, with an garrison that has about the double! Luckily not all combatants and those who are, they are simply some conscripts. It is just a small weather station, that also serve as communication relay. Not an high value target but … it is something. All members of the group were brought in Voyager freighter … this ships can do hard planetary entrances and with a cloak device can pass most sensors undetected. Plan of the attack simple:
1- take advantage of the bad weather and surprise … nobody is expecting one attack here!
2 – block communications, using the cloak freighter equip with some jamming equip on the cargo hold.
3 – fire all guns, from small mortar to assault rifles and even the guns of the freighter. Give then hell.

The outpost is just over there …

Red gives the order for the Fast Bird, the voyager freighter to place in position … and then orders all members that surround the outpost to open fire! The brets are caught by complete surprise … no ammo is “expensive” and all is fired at will. 3 minutes later Eagle group is inside the outpost, some are barricade, and it is giving a chance for their surrender … they accepted and they are gathered outside … not more than 120! Some members of the Eagle group enter the command center to gather some intel but, as expected, it is all destroyed! And now what?! What to do with this? With the prisoners?! Red never had the intention to keep it, because he know that bretonia would retaliate, and try to retake it. Red orders the demolition of the outpost, and while they are placing the explosive charges Red goes to the ones are guarding the prisoners … angry men that lost their homes and even most and some even all of their families!

Red – They are all yours!! Do whatever you want! I will wait for you on the extract point, so don’t be late!

Red walks away without looking ... without care … he knows what is going to happen to those brets … most are still boys and girls … 18 … 19 years old!! It did not take long to hear the screams of they begging for their lives … some were lucky and were shot but others … others were burn alive!! Is this what zoners are now?! Looks like it … and Red don’t gives a FUXX!!

Few minutes later all are aboard the Fast Bird … luckily no one was injured, and while they are climbing to leave the planet atmosphere, several explosions level the outpost … a victory on a lost war!

Now what?! What will happen? Only time will tell … what is the so call gods *devs* plans?! Red thinks that zoners are dead … we are now just a forgotten people that no one cares!
