thats because nation such as india are not portrayed, not at all in starlancer. Where the coalition represent nearly every eastern bloc nations and Alliance the western, india were among the non-alligned, and probably was so in starlancer until it was (probably) forced into war on whoever side.

Right - that's what I was saying above. I forgot the whole "Cold War" motif of this - it bugs me since geopolitics would have radically changed by the time these stories got underway, but that's my own thing...

This isn't about "every little nation" either; it's about a subcontinent of 1 billion and another continent of 700-900 million people. These are obvious lapses in the original to me, not to mention the assumptions about southern hemisphere politics (allied with "eastern"/Coalition powers) that don't make much sense geopolitically.

Oh well - we'll just have to be more creative with our RP, which, of course, is the point to begin with.
