We are currently being inundated with requests to add more factions to the Allied side of this, this statement is not to say "stop it", because we understand your frustrations. I will attempt to explain our reasons, and I hope there is understanding for our position. As a result of the RP situation of many factions, the Allied side has far more individual factions fighting for it. Gallia is limited to a portion of the Corsairs and some lukewarm support from the separatists who are a considerable distance away from them, and all avenues have been exhausted to add more people to the Gallic side as of the latest update by Xalrok above.
We know you want your faction to take part, events are fun, events create activity, and we all want to take part with our favorite faction. Unfortunately, as is with FFA events, one side can face severe struggles in terms of numbers. That side, even with the current limited number of factions on the allied side, is Gallia as of yesterday. With the addition of the separatists to the battle, we can observe the current balance situation, and, should Gallia gain an advantage over the allies similar to the one enjoyed by the allies currently, we will consider adding other allied factions to the event.
To address a particular faction individually, we are aware that CR took part in the build up to the event in RP terms, and we are sorry we cannot accurately portray this in the event due to the above balance/game-play issues.
Finally, as for the Corsair battleships in Cortez. It was discussed, and we came to the conclusion that Battleships in Cortez was well beyond the realistic (inRP) capabilities of the Corsair allies in this event. If the balance situation remains as it is, even this may be forfeit in an attempt to find more support for Gallia, but as of this posting Battleships remain disallowed.
