Strange politics

Since this entire thing is my fault, I suppose I should speak. Now, the BLS/GMG thing isn't a huge problem, right? A rich group of smugglers coming to an understanding with a bunch of miners, basically saying "Hey, it hurts business to shoot eachother, so how about let's stop shooting and get richer, and while we're at it, we have mutual enemies - the Corsairs, so let's shoot them."

Now, about the 66th and GMG... I'm not so sure there. They flew into Alpha, asked for peace talks, etc. and I for one am willing to hear them out. Diplomacy, in the real world, is a very fluid thing, why can't it be so in Freelancer?
