If I've done anything wrong, then there is established procedure for that.

The established procedure is to re-apply in 6 months if there is something wrong. What would you have expected or liked to see and where is it described as established procedure?

Many people have urged the team to do so if such is the case, if I've violated a rule of some sort then I am by all means liable to be sanctioned.

As I understand it, and as I think it should be, being granted an official faction is more about just following rules, but about being exemplary. Following rules lets you play on the server, being exemplary can get you official faction privileges.

I don't recall painting myself out as a hero or asking anyone to do anything in response to the denial.

All I did was post the reason I was given for the refusal, because I do genuinely want people to know the reason why - considering the staff did not post it themselves.

You did comment negatively on their justification in public, and then they game more detail in public. It seems fair's fair.

I think it's also clear that I don't care about my own privileges, seeing as I'm not allowed to exercise them under the current caveat(I agreed to this btw). I did not attempt to cling to said privileges and readily discussed with and appointed a suitable replacement to do all of those things in addition to consultation with the Developers. So I'm not sure where this allegation of me caring about my privileges is coming from, if you're going off of the second quote in Xalrok's post, I'd like you to know it was about ship design - naturally I'll attempt to get the player-base the design they want the most.

I didn't allege you wanted privileges for your own sake. I don't doubt your intentions were good. But you went at it the wrong way.

I wouldn't have minded if the punishment for my (alleged)behavior was the revocation of my unique ship through a sanction. But punishing the faction for personal disagreements was not and will never be fair. The team has admitted that much. Fasten ME with accountability, not the PEOPLE who play for the FACTION. These were the key distinctions that we wanted, nothing else. Revoking the faction's officialdom because of my occasionally rude and direct nature was senseless collateral. I'm not making any excuses for my nature, I'll just admit I'm not the nicest person on the planet.

This was never about me, it's always been about the faction that was unfairly bundled together to share liability for perceived transgressions.

They didn't revoke anything. They just didnt grant it.

The behavior of the leader is absolutely relevant for granting officialdom or not. There was no scenario for exchanging the leader and then immediately granting officialdom foreseen in the rules, only one where you could re-apply after 6 months after fixing what ever problem there was. They changed the rules for your benefit. Be happy. And saying "we were elevated into officialdom by the community" and "this is not about me but only about how much I care for my faction" is a bit portraying yourself as a hero.

I think the current team were much nicer to you than you were, and still are, to them.
