Sources of Bad Ideas
[s.1] - Stolen by Bombardier Adelram from the Hellfire Legion.
[s.2] - Stolen by Commander Miller from the DSE Pre-Owned Outlet, California City, Planet California Minor.
[s.3] - Stolen by Bombardier Adelram from the Hellfire Legion. Earmarked by OR&D for weapon hybridization project.
[s.4] - Found on an old, broken Werewolf previously owned and flown by Adjutant Kane in the First Vagrant Fleet circa 815 A.S. Weapons are at least 30 years older than that and should be destroyed.
[s.5] - Commentary: I don't even know why we have these. They're the knives you bring to a gun fight, and you don't bring a knife to a gun fight.
[s.6] - Previously installed on OCS Silent Man. Not currently in working condition.
[s.7] - Remains from a skirmish with presumably extra-Sirian drones in late 825 A.S. Jointly claimed by OR&D and OIC.
[s.8] - Very old gun parts that survived the many destructions of VCS Metropolis. Not enough here to make functioning weapons. Earmarked by OR&D for weapon hybridization project.
Estimated number of actively assigned and in-use small craft weapons is approximately equal to unassigned counts. The OIC has a few more prototypes out there in the wild than we do, and for obvious reasons neither you, nor I, nor Riley, nor God will be able to get them to cough up any details. Fuel reserves are fairly malleable; in an emergency situation we can transfer fuel between the cruisers, the frigates, and the transports. Pulling fuel out of the larger ships to feed the smaller ones is a bit more complex of a task but it's still something we can do if worst comes to worst. I'd say if we had to run quiet, run passive, and run defensive, with no resupply from the outside work, we could keep the whole fleet going for a year.
Thankfully, we have allies, and in regions where we don't, we have a large pile of cash.
Best regards,
Adjutant Harold Kane Fourth Octavarium Fleet
