What's the sense to take part here if The Council will lose Toulouse?
I dunno, there's this cool thing called roleplay. It's a story friend, everyone cannot be winning at the same time.
If events are going to be rail-roaded with forced outcomes, personally I don't see the point in the attaching story to them at all. That's just the opposite of creating an immersive, interactive storyline that actually captures player interest and gets them invested into the story. For example, what precisely makes that roleplay matter if the outcome is pre-determined? What's the point in a Council player roleplaying if they've already lost? It just reduces any potential roleplay and encourages almost pure PvP or trade. These events might as well just exist purely for applying bonuses in hot zones, and linking to the respect faction Wiki pages to explain why they're shooting each other in the first place.
It just seems like the Gallic War is going to end with a whimper, with community interest largely absent. Lessons still haven't been learned.
