I recently saw that Adoxa offers a tool that patches the Freelancer. exe so that ipv6 addresses are prevented
in the server list (whatever that might exactly mean and whatever the consequences of those would be.
Maybe such servers wouldn't show at all, because Freelancer is quite the dinosaur in that behalf. And since
you have problems with the server showing up I just thought ...): http://adoxa.altervista.org/freelancer/tools.html
Unfortunately, there is no documentation which seems to be not uncommon with software that is offered by Adoxa.
Maybe one of the mod developers could tell if the Discovery Freelancer.exe is already patched this way.
I suggest you don't try that on your own because there's a high risk that the Anti-Cheat running on the server
might find such changes not very funny. And that might not even be the worst-case scenario.
You know I forgot all about this ipv6 Problem, but you can go in and DeActivate 6, and set it back to ipv4. But that caused if I remember correctly, It would not load at all. Don't think it would cause a random problem that comes and goes. I had this problem before but I'm running Vista. and No Vista's not the problem, I have been running on Vista for many years. now if the Dev Team used files in their installer that doesn't like vista that's another story in its self.
I will give it a check just in case. But since the Dev team knows Ipv6 doesn't like freelancer I kinda think this may not be the problem but like I said I'm going to check it out. Thanks for the reminder. stranger things have happened with this game lol Right!
