Gallic war

I'm a bit surprised about the focus on sensation and a oversimplified good versus evil mechanic, where the evil side has little to no justifications for its deeds. It indeed reduces Gallia to a cartoon villain taking away much of the intrigue and morally grey area of war, where both sides can somehow have their characters perhaps doubt their own actions, but believably stand behind them non the less. I have a feeling that the gallic view on things has not been considered and on that note genocidal behaviour and huge imaginary explosions don't make up for lazy storytelling.

Edit: with lazy storytelling I don't mean that the story devs are lazy. I mean a way of storytelling that does not put effort in exploring its own history and pre established storylines, in favour of determination of the conclusion first and then filling in the blanks between it.
