suggestions to stop the pvp and capwhoring

currently i wonder why you come up with such hardcore demands to limit the players freedom more. - are you experiencing bad roleplay? is that bad roleplay directly linked to warships? or are you getting acceptable roleplay by playerfactions, while you only get disappointing roleplay from non playerfactionized players?

Both.

I've seen four hostile capships enter omicron 100 without any reason, and without any roleplay in systems chat shown when my order character encountered them. Two were bounty hunter battleships, one was a red hessian cruiser, and the other was an outcast destroyer. All of them were there looking to cause trouble, or because "they didnt know" - and in my opinion if you dont take the time to learn your own faction's allegiances and hostilities, you definitely dont deserve to be flying their battleships.

I've encountered bounty hunter battleships and battlecruisers a dozen times in omicron delta, omicron minor, and omicron gamma... only one ever responded to my RP in systems chat, the others just attacked or complained OOC in system because they were getting killed for going places they shouldnt be.

I've gotten the same attitude from some of the liberty independents, all in battlecruisers oddly enough. The only liberty battleships i've encountered have all had good roleplay - a couple of the SA battleships, gafwmn, kaitlynn, etc. Considering all of the OORP crap that comes from liberty I'd expect them to be the biggest offenders here but they arent.

There are three factions out there that are really spamming large capships right now - Outcasts, Corsairs, and Bounty Hunters. I see more independent, OoRP capship players from those three groups than anyone else in the rest of sirius. You can talk a stroll by crete or malta any day of the week and find at least two cruisers/destroyers sitting there chatting ooc in system. Luckily most of those two faction's idiots are still in the cruisers...

Take a walk through delta or the other omicrons and you'll have a very good chance of coming across a bounty hunter battlecruiser or battleship that doesnt even know this is a roleplaying server. I think the biggest reason for that is that bounty hunters have -too much freedom-. They're acting like a sirius-wide police force, with nobody to hold them back. The extent of their RP ends at "Lol ur a badguy so I kill u".

And another thing i'd like to throw in here is mercenaries. Nearly every time I go into liberty I see at least one new merc ID'd player flying a liberty gunboat... why? Is there any real reason for a merc to be using that ship? Why arent they using bounty hunter ships themselves?
