Technologies such as antimatter, dark matter, and singularity reactor sound too advanced for the Freelancer universe, as apparently even the more advanced Houses don't have them yet and utilize thermonuclear fusion instead.
https://discoverygc.com/wiki/The_RM-2A_"Storta"_Outcast_Destroyer The first prototypes were powered by conventional fusion drives, but the production models incorporate a new advance courtesy of the researchers at Corsica's R and D Lab: An Artificial Quantum Singularity Drive.
Artificial Quantum Singularity Drive = Reactor with a small blackhole inside
Wikipedia on Quantum Singularity: The term quantum singularity is used to refer to many different phenomena in fiction. They often only approximate a gravitational singularity in the scientific sense in that they are massive, localized distortions of space and time. The name invokes one of the most fundamental problems remaining in modern physics: the difficulty in uniting Einstein's theory of relativity, which includes singularities within its models of black holes, and quantum mechanics. In fact, since according to relativity, singularities, by definition, are infinitely small, and expected to be quantum mechanical by nature, a theory of quantum gravity would be required to describe their behaviour. No such theory has yet been formulated.[1]
Most likely based on this: In the Star Trek Universe, the Romulan D'deridex-class warbird uses an artificial quantum singularity as a power source for its warp propulsion drive.

However, I think these technologies shouldn't be invoked from thin air, but rather studied first extensively through RP. I'm only bringing this up because I'm in a similar position now, putting together the RP for inventing a power generator based on dark matter.
Thin air is what made many infocards in this game. Which is still a game that depicts Darkmatter in Munich as a Higgs field collapse (false vacuum) with its spreading speed lower than a rock roaming the space. As if you were watching a nuclear bomb in 300'000x slow motion that generates pudding instead of radioactivity. Science has proven that even today we can create particles with negative mass, which means that 800 years after settlement and inRP "Singularity Reactors" we (Maltese) should be more than ready to make this leap forward more than anyone else.

Thank you very much! And we can say that Storta's Infocard did it itself as most of our RP is based on an existing lore.

Humanity has also managed to create antimatter weaponry, notably in the form of Battle Razors, Mortars, SNACs, etc.
I don't know about dark matter, but maybe there's an explanation there as well. The Disco Freelancer universe is a science fiction nuthouse, honestly.
