Rikku

[Tenacity]

<Two Days Later, Pittsburgh Debris Field, New York System>

Disaster. That's what this was.

Rikku had been trapped inside this 'ship' for two days straight with no food, no water, and the life support system was running out of air. Bob would not listen to her commands, it kept finding targets and killing people, and she couldnt do anything about it.

She had looked into it's database and found transmissions to an automated bounty hunter network computer. Apparently Bob had hooked back up to the network once they were clear of the dark matter in texas, and once it started receiving 'bounty' requests it would hunt down and destroy whatever it was told to. Chances are the guild didnt even know the drone still existed.

Enough was enough, Rikku couldnt take the killing anymore, and she wouldnt survive another day as a slave inside this monstrosity.

[VISAD: New target designated, tracking]

"NO BOB! That's ENOUGH! No more killing!" She screamed.

[VISAD must fulfill function: Seek and Destroy]

"Not anymore..." She mumbled as she ripped the cover panel off of it's AI control unit and ripped the wiring out. "Bob" fell silent, disconnected from the ship and no longer able to control it. A tear came to Rikku's eye... "sorry bob, but I couldnt let you hurt people anymore..."

She slouched down in the corner. All that she could do now was wait for someone to come along and get her out of this thing. It had no real manual controls, the thing was adrift with no way for her to get back to a planet or base.

<Four Hours Later, Adrift in orbit over Maine, New York System>

A jolt shook the ship... something had run into them. Rikku turned away from the viewport looking down at maine and faced the airlock. Two men in grungy slacks stepped through the opening... junkers. The lead man looked at her, shining a flashlight in her eyes and almost blinding her.

"... Rikku?" he whispered.

She recognized the voice, it was Christopher Thorn... captain of the tenacity, a beautiful peice of junk if she had ever seen one. The man behind him was John Dekker, his merc and secondhand man.

She ran forward and hugged him, "Thank the stars you showed up chris, I was about out of air!"

"What's this ship, Rikku?" He asked.

"Some kind of AI drone bounty hunter thing, I was salvaging it in texas two days ago when it started acting on it's own, ignoring everything I said!"

Thorn ushered Rikku into his ship, motioning for Dekker to take her inside. "Well... so much for this salvage job."

He turned around and entered the tenacity again, closing the airlock and disconnecting it. He yelled up at Jace Dillon on the bridge, "Jace! Hook the grappler to this thing! we're takin in back to base!"

Chris turned back to Rikku, now being comforted by Rachel, the Tenacity's engineer, "It's alright Rikku, you'll get all the credits for the sale of that ship, and nobody's gonna scam you out of a penny, y'hear?"

Rikku smiled and turned to head down to the common area.
