It was obvious now to Elizabeth that Redmond wasn't, in fact, her friend, that he was doing this out of necessity rather than willingness and that he was very likely forced by Steiner. He would never appoint someone who he knows lacks military skill. But at least Steiner was still watching her back, that was good. But if she fails, and New Holland was the most difficult region of Bretonia currently, the Steiners would have no arguments left to keep propping her up. She will play cautiously, she decided, and try to use what resources she has to appease the populace.
