Soldat Mathew reporting on my patrol. Today started patrol early to see what kinda action is present in different times. I was not disappointed. Early in my patrol I encountered a Bismarck Battleship guarding the trade lanes into New Berlin. Kapiten said it was a defensive measure because in liberty a kusari battle cruiser was attacking ships left and right for no reason. To avoid the situation spilling over into Rheinland the kapiten placed his ship to block the rogue kusari ship. I know of our ceasefire agreement so I was not about to break or endanger it so I left the kapiten to his task. After a brief respite the rogue ship disappeared. Later the kapiten invited me to a test fire of the main batteries of his ship. I went to the test site but no clue as to where the ship was or what happened. And like that I never saw the ship again. Its above my station but said ship appeared to act strange. Vessel named Wotan I believe. Please investigate.
And the next thing to happen was the destruction of a known smuggler. I was on patrol doing my route when I happened on a familiar ship mention in previous reports. Although he was carrying ore, something seemed off. I posted myself at the stuttgart gate to scan traffic when out of the blue the ship appeared. I could be imagining things but it appeared to either cloak or just came out of its jump near the gate. (Recommend detaining for possible illegal modifications) I followed the ship in pursuit and gave ample warnings to the kapiten only to return with silence. Just before nearing the cologne gate a single hessian bomber appeared. Unfortunately I was in no position to engage the bomber as I was not equipped to fight a bomber, just heavy ships. I approached the seen and watched the hessian engage the transport. I fired a few shots to the bomber to scare it off but the ship did not relent. At that precise moment, I accidentally launched a torpedo confusing the emp cannons for the torp launcher, (still new to weapon groups) which a few seconds later hit the hull of the ship after the hessian knocked the shields out. With this chain of events, leading the ship that was carrying black market munitions to explode, I figure all the explosives on board did the job. The transport was no more. The hessian quickly scoped up what it could and beat a retreat. I followed and tried to engage but he disappeared. The rescue craft arrived and the crew of the ship were saved but I doubt this would deter them. I returned to my patrol and the rest of it was uneventful. That is all.
