He got a little annoyed. He felt as if his intentions were being doubted. "Let us get something straight. I am a humanitarian. I have walked both sides of the law, both killed and saved. A second chance at life made me see things differently. I saved those pilots as much as I would any other. While most are left to suffocate and die in the vacuum of space, I will not allow it. They too have families, friends and a purpose whether or not I agree with that purpose. I will not allow them to die that way." He then sighed and collected himself, "...and I will do it again be for another Chrysanthemum, Corsair, Outcast or even a Bounty Hunter. My Hippocratic Oath binds me to save."
He managed a smile again. "Velvet....I had been discussing things with them but a leadership change ended that. The way I see it, they have no business in the Taus. The administrators of Freeports Six and Ten are more than capable of keeping their own areas if they stick to the Zoner doctrine. Med Force Enterprises now runs as its own entity and will continue to do so for the foreseeable future."
He gave a chuckle at her warning. He stepped toward her and stood. "Trust me on this, Miss. I intend no traps." He patted where his pistols were beneath his robes, "You are quite safe around me and no one will suspect."
He then turned a bit before turning back. "So um, when shall we depart?"
