Quick question, as I've never participated in an event before - does respawn timer being disabled mean one can just rejoin the battle immediately after being blown up?

Yes, you will be able to return in case you get blown up during the time specified (20:00 to 21:00).

Usually there's an admin to specify when it takes effect and stops being in effect.
