Quote:Personal Preferance, Battleship, able to defend itself against pesky house's, and players, and Can deal with a Train thats constanly using SB and nanos, not to mention a huge Cargo hold, and If your a good pilot asteroids are no problem, Only field i have problems in is Omi Minor.

I tried most of the battleships: Battlestar, Kusari, Liberty, Britonia and spinning was a major problem. I spun soo much I could not target and shoot. Also, I agree, asteroids are a major pain in the rear. Ram me, use missles, escape into asteroids, use thrusters and i cannot keep up.

Quote:Mabye a BS would be bad since lots of criminal systems ARE full of rocks... -.- I wouldn't think there is a perfect pirate's ship. I'd have thought cruisers were the best comprimise though, not too big and not too week.

My thoughts too, I have all four cruisers. One is loaded with Tizonas, one with a Mortar (can't fire a heavy mortar, not enough energy) and I can take pirates and Nomads easily, players are not so easy.

Would a gunboat be good? I think I will try a fighter next and see how it does. Nova torpedos can be a big damage dealer.
And, maybe I will convert CruiserDoc to a pirating cruiser to compare their effectiveness.

BabyDoc -Large train
DragonKnight -Kusari destroyer
CruiserDoc -Huegenot cruiser
Shadowen -Rheinland cruiser
Poseidon - soon to be [MiD]The_Enforcer[Ace] bad guy/pirate

BabyDoc: Large Train
DragonKnight: Liberty Assault Frigate
Shadowen: Albatross Frigate
[MiD]The_Enforcer[Ace]: Rheinland bomber
[DJC]The_Kraken: Heugenot Cruiser
