Every rule implemented has always impacted EVERY player with the majority of the rules passed impacting them by gutting the player base.
We don't want to play in an oligarchy where the devs write a load of BS and force it on the rest of us. Its not fun, its not exciting, and its really not interesting. What it is, is exhausting.
My understanding is everyone comes here to have fun playing a GAME and generating a story TOGETHER.
We dont come here to pay homage to the devs for the detached and inexplicable plot choices they make each release. We don't come here to mindlessly toil at making money for any reason let alone a chance at maybe getting them to take a look at what we're up to. And we're certainly not here to watch the devs continue to abuse the community with this tyrannical behavior.
to quote my self from the discord:
There are not enough devs to write lore for the multitude of factions out there. Lore needs an over haul, official factions should be entrusted to make the lore for their faction and then have their ideas vetted for flaws publicly across the community. Devs should be DEVELOPING, balancing and fixing bugs, not fussing over lore. If that's too much like work for them maybe we need different devs. This is an RP community so the story is what we're here to make, its not something anyone has ever really wanted made for them or whats the point.
Also I want to say the returning vet program is a great idea, it took enough of the sting out of coming back to give this a shot, but its not going to keep us here and more of the same problems will drive us away.
If your ego is too delicate to accept the truth that its the policy killing the community and nothing but a complete overhaul can fix that, then the community is already doomed to fail, and our only hope is for someone else to take up the mantle and attempt to save what they can and make a new one.
We ALL want discovery to succeed and continue, but discovery isn't a dev story plot, its a community, and if you kill it, no amount of story development will bring it back once its truly gone.
